How do I get the smell of vomit off my shoes? - detergent for vomit

Runs in the past week one of my colleagues in my barf. I quickly rinsed, then washed, when I got home, but there is still a persistent odor. I washed 3 different times since then with all types of cleaning agents, but still felt awful. Any tips?
